Images and sources

Every object in Panoply is a real piece from a museum or an open archive. Its image keeps the license chosen by its author or holder, and each object shows its own credit (author, source and license) on its plaque, with a link to the original record.

Backgrounds are removed from most photographs. Cutouts made from images under CC BY-SA are published under the same license, CC BY-SA. Owning an object in the game transfers no rights on its image.
